February 15-17, 2019, Troop 100B will be traveling to Montgomery, AL, to explore our state’s capital and history. The troop will camp at the local BSA camp, Camp Tuk (short for Tukabatchee) in Prattville, AL. Saturday, the troop will visit the capital buildings and the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice. They plan to enjoy lunch at an artisan pizza restaurant before heading back to the camp to work on their orienteering skills. Other plans include working on camping and cooking merit badge requirements. Local Webelos (and parent) are welcome to join the troop on this trip. To register, visit TroopMaster or for more information, contact Scoutmaster Tommy.
OK, so LOST hasn’t been on TV for a while, but I can’t mention returning to an island without referring to Jack screaming at Kate at the airport at the end of season 3. Anyway, Troop 100 scouts have an opportunity to return to Tybee Island, March 2019!!
In 2015, Troop 100 made an exciting journey to Little Tybee Island. As the scouts who went on that trip in 2015 have grown, they’ve always spoken of how much fun they had on the island. So, the PLC decided they wanted to return this spring break.
The plan is to head to Tybee Island on March 10th and spend a few days kayaking to and camping on Little Tybee Island. On the 13th, the scouts will get to clean themselves up and relax in a nice airbnb on the main island. On March 14th, they’ll spend the day on a deep sea fishing experience before heading home on March 15th.
You can see a little bit of what our 2015 trip was like in this video:
OK, so the video I made is super-cheeseball…but the trip was awesome! And this year we’re throwing deep-sea fishing into the mix. Don’t miss out!
The deadline to sign up is February 11, so log-in to troopmaster and register ASAP! Talk to Dan for more details.
